Synopsis

The 1980’s. São Paulo, Brazil. Football is treated as a matter of national security and used as a propaganda tool to promote an oppressive government. 

 

Through the friendship between unlikely talented football players Casagrande and Sócrates, a democracy is invented inside the Corinthians team. Together they transform a traditional and disgraced team into a legendary squad, winning two championships in a row and kickstarting a revolution that went beyond the field lines and changed football and Brazilian society forever.
